Snowy Bush

Boots in the Snow

First Snow of 2012

We had our first snowfall of the season this morning. It was beautiful. Although the snow didn’t last long after the sun emerged from the clouds, I was glad to be able to record the white glory.

I missed it! My classroom is on the inside walls of my high school so I couldn’t see what all the hoopla was about today.

As soon as I saw your post….I knew you must be in Indiana too!
I love the snow and can’t wait for some that sticks!

Beautiful pictures! I can’t wait for snow down here in Oklahoma.

Where did you happen to get the shoes that are in one of the photos? I am looking for some that look similar to that. Thanks!

These are beautiful! I love the crisp bright colors and textures.
Did you use your 28mm lens for these? I really admire your photography. It is so stunning. You have a good eye.

I’ve been thinking of buying another lens that works well for portraits. Now I have a canon rebel and a 50mm 1.8 which I am very pleased with, but would like to go a step up.

May I ask for some advice?

I know that canon and nikon can be diverse and different in their deliver, but I am kind of stuck (at this point) between whether to purchase a 50mm 1.4 or a 28mm 1.8 lens. I’ve heard the 50mm 1.4 lens is sharp and works well in low lighting. (I don’t know how much better it would be than my 1.8) Also from my research the 28mm 1.8 lens is wonderful for group shots, portraits and low lighting, but may also have chromatic aberration and distortion.

Of your two favorite lenses, which do you find better for portraits and low light?

    Thank you!

    Blessings,
    Leah

Lexie and Hannah, the boots are “Elodie” by Born, which I purchased at a local department store last autumn (during a really good sale).

wow Emily Rose – these images and the words God’s creation, life and glory brought tears to my eyes. Lately i find that gazing on the beauty of nature leads me “to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord” (Psalm 27)

He is so worthy of being our First Love and He leaves us love letters everywhere. thank you for sharing your unique perspective with the world. i live in South Africa. i always go straight to your blog when i get a notification of a new post as i know it will feed and nourish my soul. i hope we’ll meet one day – if not here then there :-) love Faith
