A website about inspiring female historical figures? Or paper dolls (thinking Breezy’s scissors clue…) of them, perhaps? Can’t wait to find out! (:

    Happy Thursday,

Is it something to do with famous ladies from history? A book on young wives and daughters?

  4. Riley Tea on Sep 3, 2009 said:

Okay, Abigail Adams is definitely a key-factor here. Maybe your home-business is also to help with a certain cause? I just wondered because of Breezy’s post “You really are brave, my dear, you are a Heroine.”

I’m still not sure of the medium (whether it’s a book or a website or online magazine, etc. I wanted to say it’s a book, but then I’m not sure where the ‘computer desk’ pictures would fit in…) but at this point, I’m guessing that it’s something along the lines of lessons, stories, and ideas, things we can learn, from ladies in history such as Abigail Adams; home-making skills/tips, being resourceful, making sacrifices for others; crafts and cooking, reviving old arts, such as letter-writing; accompanying illustrations.

Can’t wait for tomorrow!! (and anymore possible clues between now and then :) )

Hmmm… a calendar or cookbook featuring historical ladies through the years and/or recipes?

  6. Joanna on Sep 3, 2009 said:

    How about an online cookbook?

  7. Buttercup on Sep 3, 2009 said:

Okay, I know I’ve guessed on Breezy’s blog, but I just want to expand on my idea. :P

I think it is a craft book/art kit, having the theme of American heroines.

I can hardly wait to find out exactly what it is!

    Buttercup

All right…my guess is a set of CD’s of Ladies of the Reformation! Excited for the announcement, ladies!

Have a very nice day, delighting in the Lord!

I’ve given my best guess on Breezy’s site, but the mystery won’t leave me, so I am giving one more guess….is it costume patterns? (The basket that Breezy is holding in the picture looks way too big to fill as an order of cookies, we wouldn’t fit into those pretty dresses.)

    Hello Miss Emily Rose,

    Here are my guesses:
    -A Craft book
    -A Craft & Cook book
    -A historical cookbook
-A Calendar with recipies, art, crafts, etc. having to do with great ladies of the past
-CD-ROMs (having to do with cooking or crafts or great historical ladies or art)
    -Creative Gift Baskets
-A line of do-it-yourself card kits.
    -Costumes
    -Costuming book
-A website selling any one of the above (or all of the above).

It has been quite clever of you both to build up the suspense by leading us on this clue trail. I can’t wait to find out what it is :).

    Your sister in Christ,
    Alyssa

I’m guessing that it is a book for young ladies (with homemaking tips) inspired by Abigail Adams and other women from history.
    I can’t wait ’til tomorrow! :)

Wow! I am so excited to find out what it is! You both have certainly kept us in suspense!

My guess, though, is that you’re putting on some sort of event for girls, having to do with ladies in our American history, perhaps using authentic recipes from different time periods, name cards, stationary, Breezy’s artwork, etc.

    Can’t wait for tomorrow!

  16. Miss Jen on Sep 3, 2009 said:

    I am thinking perhaps a
    book…. stationary… or new website?!
    Can’t wait to find out!!!

Hmmm…well, your official picture was totally a take on Visionary Daughters, right? ^_^ So I’m guessing you got the inspiration from them, combining Historical women of the past and a call to return to feminity??? Along with artwork by Breezy and the wording by you!! Am I close?? ^_^

    Blessings!

    *waves hand wildly in air*

OOOHHHH!!! I just got it after my last comment….you’re writing E-BOOKS!! And Breezy’s gonna illustrate them!!

Oh dear, Emily, you are torturing us, Dear! You really shouldn’t be doing this :) I have *no* clue what to guess, but I’m going to give it a try… Besides, no one else has said this yet :)
Christmas Cards? Christmas Cookbook? Christmas Cookbook from Christian Ladies in History?

sigh. you must let us know soon :)

I’m going to guess some type of a historical cooking website/cookbook

  22. Melissa on Sep 3, 2009 said:

Historical portraits? A how-to book on art? Selling customized portraits? A book on looking at art through history? I know–all my guesses are similar to each other. :)

  23. Hristë on Sep 4, 2009 said:

Hmmm… Research books + artwork = an illustrated book (maybe an e-book) about some historical ladies? That’s one guess.
You and your sister have put up clues that definitely pertain to baking, so I must also guess a cookbook. I have no idea what the basket is for though.
Perhaps you are also making illustrated greeting cards, to be printed out, and then cut with those ‘needed scissors’. (unless you were refering to the cards below the scissors).

Well, I’ll be back tomorrow to see what it really is,
    May God bless you both,
    Hristë

This is so exciting! Maybe a cd or ebook or website with info on encouraging young girls to be keepers at home. Based on historical figures and Bibllical girlhood. It would have all sorts of differnt things in it that you do. Like art, cooking, crafts, sewing etc. Encourgement to live Godly lives and still be modern. Oh Oh even better, video tutorials. Ok Ok it’s Friday already. What is it????

    Emily,

Would you mind e-mailing me a list of the books that helped you in your research? I’m always looking for more great books to read, especially ones on godly women of history. There’s so much we can learn from their lives!

Thanks so much; I really appreciate it!
