A Family Portrait: Natural

While Sarah Mae and her family were vacationing at our home, I had the opportunity to take portraits of their lovely family.

These pictures are beautiful. I do not know these children, but it seems like you captured their personalities in these photographs. I love how you can see little boy toys surrounding the little guy and his band-aid on his knee.

Wow, Emily! Image #2 is simply perfect! Did you use a flash or a reflector? I am having a hard time identifying the light source in such a small image.

Thank you . . . The lighting is natural lighting, in the late afternoon. She is in the tree which blocked direct sunlight (although you can still see it on her hair) while at the same time keeping the image well lighted. Although the image was enhanced in color, sharpness, and levels, the actual amount of lighting is very similar to the straight-out-of-the-camera shot.

Beautiful, clear shots once again! My favourite would probably be of their little boy; you caught him at just the right moment!

How beautiful! You take wonderful portraits – the lighting is perfect, and you captured the joy and love of family.
What an honor for your home to be considered a vacation spot by someone else! :)
Blessings! Thank you for being such an inspiration.
