Every spring I look forward to snipping lilac bunches from our bush for an overflowing bouquet of purple lovelies. It’s amazing to see how much beauty God puts into a single lilac with its breathtaking aroma.
The grass withers, the flower fades,
but the word of our God will stand forever.
—Isaiah 40:8
P.S. Six Angles is back!

Absolutely stunning! I simply love lilacs – not only their colour but their beautiful aroma. :) God’s creation is indeed amazing.
Beautiful pictures! I love the color of the flowers!
Emily Rose,
Your photos had me doing a quick check on my family’s lilac bushes, but no beautiful blooms like these yet! Thanks for sharing, I especially liked your second photograph.
Many Blessings,
Hollie
My my how lovely these are, your lilacs have grown so fast, ours haven’t even begun to bloom. Thanks for the reminder of the beauty soon to grace our table. Gods creations certainly never cease to capture my breath abd amaze me.
Blessings

Oh how beautiful! I grew up with lilacs everywhere. I miss them, Tennessee doesn’t have many.
So lovely! God is a magnificent Artist (:
I can nearly smell them here, they look so beautiful!
You have LILAC! I LOVE lilac! And tulips! they are my favorite flower. But they won’t grow in FL:(. but I love the flowers that do grow here! I love that verse from Isaiah!
Beautiful! :)
beautiful! I just shared this verse with my daughter this morning as she wanted to know why the lilacs were {fading}
Ooooh, yes. Lilacs are one of the very best parts of spring. We have a big hedge of them and they just perfect for snipping, photographing and sniffing. :-)
Hi Emily,
Oh those lilacs are just beautiful!!! One of my neighbor’s has a lilac in their front yard. It’s the most beautiful shade of creamy pink :) :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)
Those are beautiful. We don’t have that many flowering plants where I live so I never really get to pick fresh flowers and put them in a vase. I hope that will change soon…
Have a blessed week,
Purity Leigh
P.S. I just wanted to let you know that I have changed my blogging name (I used to be Tulip). I’ll be using Purity Leigh from now on.
Pretty pictures! Perfect verse, especially for this time of year.
They are gorgeous! I wish we had lilacs. How can someone believe there is no God when they look at something as beautiful as a flower?
Oh my! That is simply breathtaking! You are EVER so blessed to get to enjoy those fragrant lilacs this spring! Beautiful, thank you for sharing. I can’t grow lilacs where I live. I used to enjoy them every spring when I lived overseas.
You know what? Last year I had such a “lilac fever”. I wanted so badly to get to smell that perfume again and see those beautiful flowers. And I also wanted to smell the lily-of-the-valley. I didn’t even pray about it, but God knew my heart and granted me the chance to travel to another state and there, I got a whole boquet of lilacs from some friends’ garden, and smell a dainty bouquet of lily-of-the-valley from some other friends.
It was such a blessing and a precious memory that I’ll hold with me since God granted my heart’s desire.
Gorgeous, gorgeous photos. I feel as though I could actually smell the photograph! :)
Beautiful lilacs!
Those are beautiful! My mom loves lilacs. We have a bouquet of them on our kitchen table right now from our grandma.
As usual, your pictures are wonderful!
How beautiful! God’s glory can clearly be seen in all that He has made!

I agree–lilacs are one of my absolute favorites–my hubby brought me home a huge bouquet the other day–he knows the way to my heart:)
Gorgeous! I love the scent of Lilacs. I’m watching my bush begin to bud and I can’t wait :)
Oh, what glorious photos! I love and miss lilacs so very much. :) BTW, do you allow pinning of your images? I’d love to use the one with the books, in particular on our http://ylcf.org boards on pinterest, but totally understand if not!
Chantel, thank you! And thank you for asking about pinning my images… yes, I do allow (and encourage) pinning of my images. :-) The only request is that you pin from the direct link of a post so that if you view and click the image on Pinterest, it directs you back to the post where it originated.
Lilacs are some of my favorites! :) These came out beautiful Emily Rose! :D
