Clue:

Color Swatches

It’s funny how much time some things take — especially when we’re being perfectionists. Don’t get me wrong, we’re not perfectionists in everything, just mainly in the art world (at least we try to be . . . but it doesn’t always work).

Breezy and I were looking for the “perfect” color of green for our *project*, and it didn’t seem that we were getting anywhere. Over the whole search, we looked at over 50 different greens. They all seemed to be too light, too dark, too cool, too warm, too neon, etc.

We came to a color that was so close we wanted to settle for it, but we knew it wasn’t quite right. Daddy and Momma were listening to us discuss the green (yes, there truly is a lot you can say about a particular shade of green!), when Momma jokingly said,

“Put a 7 on the end of it!”

It was worth a try. And, sure enough, it worked. It worked! Oh, how splendidly shocked and happy we were! Something as simple as exchanging the last number of the color code with a 7 fixed our dilemma.

We like the number 7. God used it frequently in Scripture, making it a very fine number, indeed! It is also pleasing to the eye, pleasing to the ear, and the perfect number for making the perfect color.

That’s all it took: adding the little #7 on the end of the code – problem solved!

This certainly sounds like a fabric line to me! Whatever could it be?? 7 is a wonderful number. :)

The suspense is becoming unbearable! Or should that be “unbearable7”? ;-D I’m so glad you were able to find just the right green, and I can’t wait to see what it’s for!

    Yours curiously,
    Shannon ;-)

Curious and curiouser. What are you up to?

As I have my devotions this morning I think I know what number I will be most aware of!

Oooo…. the suspense is getting to me! I can’t wait to see what you guys are really up to. All I know is that it is DEFINITELY some sort of home business, but I’m not quite sure what kind… I don’t think it’s a fabric line though. Maybe you’re redecorating/making a special room or nook that will be devoted to this entrepreneuring adventure? (assuming I’m right in that it’s a home business….)

I totally understand what you mean about just the right green! (and being able to have a sustantial conversation about it.) That’s really cool that the perfect shade ended in a ‘7’! I love that number too. Would you be able to show us a color-swatch of the perfect shade you found? Or is it the 3rd one above?

Can’t wait to see. God bless!

Oohh…the suspense is growing!! What could you be up to?
    My ideas are…
    -a book
    -a tea room
-a home business (baking, sewing, etc…)
    -a fabric line
I can’t wait until you reveal the big surprise!

Ooh, I love discussing and looking at colors! A definite favorite topic!

In Polished Cornerstones, there is an assignment to write an essay on how to apply the Biblical principal of “sevens” to our everyday lives. I though it intriguing, but didn’t do it. Now, once again, it has piqued my interest! I’ll have to go think about it some… :D

Have a very bright, very cheerful day!
